All are frescoes except that of Garzi - “The Glory of the Angels” – which seems to be an oil painting on stone, and faces the others since it was intended to be seen from the Tribune through the arch.
Carlo Ascensi (1679) “Penace”
G. Battista Boncore (1679) “Humility, Prayer, Perfection and Fortitude”
The closure of the arch is concealed by the great banner of the Archconfraternity – the work of the Marattesca school – representig "St. Charles in adoration before the Virgin and Child". Beneath the banner is the Oratory which enshrines the Heart of Saint Charles.
